Eagle Eye Estate Rose 2023 is a rare wine from our AlphaWOLF Vineyards. It is one of those very special limited production wines made from 100% Estate Grown Petit Verdot. We make it in the traditional method called Saignée. Petit Verdot is known for color and these dark purple grapes are pressed and their skins remain in contact with the juice for 12 hours which achieve a beautiful Garnet hue with a fruit forward nose. Silky in the mouth, the fruit is luscious ripe blackberry and raspberry. The wine is dry with a medium mid-palate weight and a long, elegant, crisp finish. Unlike most Rosés, we call it the red wine drinkers Rosé because it is well balanced and complex. This wine, like all of our wines, age beautifully. 2023 is being touted as a stellar year and it is evident in this wine.
